Qualifications: Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate well to staff, laity and the community. Computer competence in software programs such as Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must be able to learn new web based applications, navigate online and update the church website. Must demonstrate both excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.
Accountable to: This position shall be directly responsible to and supervised by the Pastor.
Purpose: To serve the congregation by providing administrative support to the Senior Pastor, staff and lay leadership as a part of the leadership team to fulfill the mission of Creedmoor United Methodist Church in its witness to Jesus Christ.
Provide administrative, secretarial and IT assistance to the Senior Pastor.
Conditions of employment, compensation, benefits and other related matters are to be considered on an annual basis and at other times as necessary by the Staff Parish Relations Committee. This position is classified as part time at 10 hrs per week. Evaluation shall be performed annually by a member of Staff Parish and reviewed by the pastor and SPRC.
