GUMC in Wilmington, NC is seeking a permanent full time 40hr/week Administrative and Operational Director (AOD) for immediate hire. The AOD provides administrative support for the Pastors and other church staff and interfaces with lay members of the congregation and provides oversight and direction as it pertains to the day-to-day operations of Grace UMC. The position requires excellent writing skills, the ability to manage time, be self-directed, flexible, multitask, and the ability to work well with others. Good interpersonal skills are necessary to manage interactions between church staff, church members, volunteers and visitors. The position also requires significant computer and technical skills, knowledge of office administration, including accounting/ bookkeeping and business management practices, as well as the ability to operate common office equipment. This bonded position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with some evening and weekend work on special occasions. Hours are flexible with advance approval.

Oversee cleaning/janitorial crew/co.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Excellent writing and verbal communications, strong computer knowledge, proficiency in various office software.
Operate general office equipment.
Must be organized, trustworthy, dependable
Qualifications: Two-year degree in Business Administration or equivalent, Capable of maintaining confidentiality.
