Director of Youth Ministry, (Part-Time)

Wake Forest United Methodist Church (WFUMC) seeks an energetic and engaged individual to serve as its new Director of Youth Ministry. The Director is responsible for the leadership, administration, and supervision of the local youth ministry programs for grades six through 12.
The Director works in partnership with the Senior Pastor, Associate Pastors, other ministry staff, Youth Council, and Church Council to lead a ministry program that meets the spiritual needs of youth. The Director leads or coordinates weekly programming, mission opportunities, and other special events for an active youth group; builds relationships with youth outside the church walls; and effectively recruits and equips a team of counselors and other volunteers.
Interested individuals should have a vital, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be dedicated to living and modeling a godly lifestyle inside and outside of the church. Qualified applicants should demonstrate:
• Effective interpersonal skills to a diverse church membership;
• A commitment to sustaining an active and thriving youth program;
• An ability to create an inclusive environment for youth across varied backgrounds;
• Capabilities to conduct activities in an organized and coordinated manner.
Hours and compensation offered to the successful candidate will be based on qualifications and experience.
