Director of Christian Education, Full-time Central United Methodist Church, 801 S. Hayne Street, Monroe, N.C. 28112
Central United Methodist Church located in the town Monroe, NC south of Charlotte, with a long history of service and outreach. Central is seeking a full-time Director of Christian Education who will be responsible for the developing, coordinating, and overseeing the comprehensive program of Children’s Ministries and oversee programs of Adult Spiritual Formation-Education. To serve as a collaborative part of the staff team that encourages others to Connect to God-Connect to One Another-Connect to the Community.
The preferred candidate will be a deeply devoted disciple of Jesus Christ with strong skills in leadership, communication, interpersonal relationships and organization. A master’s degree in Christian Education and 2 or more years of experience in Christian Education are preferred. A background in and familiarity with United Methodist Theology and Practice.
