Disaster Ministries is assessing storm damages and needs following Tropical Storm Debby. We continue to pray for all who have been impacted by the storm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your church or parsonage sustained damage from the storm, please contact your District Superintendent<\/a> (DS) and District Disaster Response Coordinator<\/a> (DDRC). If your community was impacted, please contact your DS<\/a>, DDRC<\/a>, and the Disaster Call Center<\/a>. View and download an overview of what to do when disaster strikes<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will continue to share more information as it becomes available. Here are a few ways you can help serve following the storm:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call Center<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need people to help answer calls and emails beginning Tuesday, August 13. If you are interested in serving in the Call Center, please complete our sign-up form<\/a> to share your availability. Our team will follow up with you to share more information.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Early Response Teams<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are in the process of assessing storm damages and needs. We will send out information to ERTs if needs arise. ERT leaders, please contact your members in preparation. If you are ERT certified and do not have a team, please contact the Disaster Call Center at 888-440-9167<\/a> or disaster@nccumc.org<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you are interested in serving as an On-Site Manager or Site Evaluator, please contact us at 888-440-9167<\/a> or disaster@nccumc.org<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UMCOR Kits<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We may need assistance assembling and distributing Hygiene Kits<\/a> and Menstrual Hygiene Kits<\/a> at MERCI. Cleaning Kits (flood buckets) are available at MERCI and additional Cleaning Kits are not needed at this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
