Dear Friends in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
I extend this annual invitation to celebrate Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries and to support this work generously. Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries was birthed in North Carolina in 1999 as a joint mission endeavor of the North Carolina and Western North Carolina Annual Conferences. Expanded to six other states, Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries continues to grow in new places, reaching new people.
Jesus said, “I was in prison and you visited me.” America’s prison population continues to be the largest the world. Prisons are in our communities across eastern North Carolina.
Thank you for your compassionate ministry with youth, men and women incarcerated near you. Hundreds of volunteers and thousands of incarcerated persons are blessed through this ministry. The annual August offering is the single greatest source of yearly revenue for Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries. The support of your congregation is important.
Talking points and offering envelopes are provided for insertion in your worship bulletins August 26 or any Sunday that you choose. For more information and for assistance in any way, contact Executive Director Mark Hicks at the Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries Office at 336-689-1443, mchicksdbom@gmail.com / disciplebibleoutreach.org.
I remember the birth of Disciple Bible Outreach Ministries over 30 years ago. I believe in the power of Disciple Bible Study and have seen the impact on the lives of people. Thank you for your partnership in this good work.
With gratitude for your partnership in Christ’s ministry,
Bishop Hope Morgan Ward
