Dear friends in Christ,
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
You are a wonderfully generous people! Thank you for giving…
- offering prayers, resources, presence, and skills through the 18 Disaster Recovery Centers now hosting volunteers;
- creating Christmas boxes under the loving direction of Nara Melkonyan, Project AGAPE Director, for children in Armenia;
- going over the goal of $500,000 in the Youth Storm Response, matched by $500,000 from the NCC Council on Finance and Administration;
- engaging locally with energy in public schools, ecumenical outreach, prophetic ministry, and compassionate mission near and far.
As we share Thanksgiving and Advent celebrations in our homes and churches, let us continue the generosity. Consider these missions for alternative gifting on GivingTuesday, December 3, or at another time in December.
- World AIDS Day
- The Advance
- Partners in Ministry (only National Advance in the NCC)
- UM Volunteers In Mission (UMVIM)
God is always the Great Giver. Our gifts are in response to divine love, grace, and mercy! May generosity mark our lives in new and radiant ways as we continue our journey through Thanksgiving unto Advent through Christmas and into the new year!
With gratitude to God for our partnership in Christ’s ministry,

Bishop Hope Morgan Ward
