Bishop Ward and Ed Sunday join Ms. Josey as volunteers work to get her back into her storm-damaged home.
Ms. Josey:
A wonderful day in my life. I never thought that this would happen but through the grace of God and the North Carolina Conference: United Methodist Church, they are making it possible that very soon, I’ll be moving in my house. Thank you, Jesus!Bishop Ward:
Hello Harbor district. We’re at the home of Ms. Josephine which is being restored after the storm last fall and you see behind us that work is going on so she can be back in and we hope in a couple of weeks. Right?Ms. Josephine:
Hallelujah! I’m giving myself till the last of August cause I don’t rush nobody. I want them to take their time so it’ll be done.Bishop Ward:
Okay.Ed Sunday:
So what we need is some more people to come volunteer and help people like Ms. Josey here to get them back in her house and there’s lots of other places we’re working, so please Harbor district come help. We need you.Bishop Ward:
We especially need you in this season between the summer teams and the teams later in the fall. We’re in need of teams who will come and spend a Saturday. Drive in, work all day, drive home and make a difference as we restore these homes. Please consider organizing a team in your church and let Ed know about it and we”ll get you scheduled.
Ed Sunday:
Yes. Call the Conference and talk to Ann Huffman (888-440-9167) and she”ll set it up or you can call me directly here in Wilmington. Together we’re going to help a lot of people be as joyful as Ms. Josey.
