The Duke Endowment is offering the gift of Spirited Life: Selah to clergy in the North Carolina Conference and Bishop Ward invites all clergy to participate.
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
You’re invited in this new year to embrace the word “Selah.” Selah is a Hebrew word meaning to breathe, to pause, to take a breath. It appears in the Psalms and in Habakkuk.
The Duke Endowment is giving to the clergy across the North Carolina Annual Conferences a new gift in 2020. We’re invited to participate in Selah. Selah builds on the work of Spirited Life. Spirited Life focus, especially on the physical health of clergy and great strides, were made forward in that regard. Selah focuses on our capacity to be resilient and to manage the stresses of ministry well.
In our January meeting of the Cabinet, the district superintendents and I all went online and registered for Selah. We look forward to engaging with you in the retreats and in the learnings and growth that Selah promises for us all. Take a moment now, register for Selah and receive this latest gift.
