Bishop Ward and Bishop Leeland share a message from a joint meeting of the NCC and WNCC Cabinets in Elon.
Bishop Ward:
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ. I’m here with Bishop Paul Leeland our dear friend and the Bishop of The Western North Carolina Conference. We meet together with the cabinets of both of our Conferences. We do this so that we can stay connected and encourage one another in ministry.Bishop Leeland:
We’ve been doing this for a number of years and when we reflect on some of the issues related to the state of North Carolina it’s just natural to bring our churches together and bring our cabinets together. For example our Congregations for Children and the work we do on behalf of children in poverty.Bishop Ward:
From Project AGAPE to Campus Ministry on our campuses all the way across the state, to our work in planting new churches and in reaching out to all people we stay in profound connection with the Western Conference. We are connectional people and we give thanks.Bishop Leeland:
I’m so delighted to be here with Bishop Hope Morgan Ward and the cabinet of the North Carolina Conference and we give thanks for the time in which we reflect on the ministry we share together.Bishop Ward:
Grace and peace to you today.
