Bishop Ward extends the invitation for youth and youth leaders to attend Pilgrimage 2017 at the Crown Center – Fayetteville, Nov. 10-12.
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
In just two months, youth from across the North Carolina Annual Conference will gather for Pilgrimage 2017. The Cabinet and I plan to be there as well. We’ll be greeting you at the front door.
We celebrate that God has a place for all of us, all of us at God’s table. The theme of Pilgrimage resonates around the communion table where God invites us all to come toward mercy, toward grace. There, we receive God’s latest gifts to us, the bread and the cup, God’s presence, God’s companionship, God’s help, God’s wisdom, and God’s abundant gifts.
Pilgrimage has been a focal point for youth ministries in the North Carolina Annual Conference for over 20 years. We continue to be blessed as we gather from all the places across our annual conference. We hear speakers who inspire us and who help us think in new ways about our faith and our shared life. We sing. We play. We have fun. We celebrate old connections, old friends, and we make new ones.
I look forward to seeing you at Pilgrimage as we all take our place at God’s table.
