As we continue through our Lenten journey, may we clearly see the message of the cross as the outstretched arms of God, reaching for us in love.
Grace. peace and strength to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
As we make our Lenten journey, we hear clearly the wisdom of the Apostle Paul – the message of the cross is foolishness to those who cannot see it but to those who can see it, it is the strength and power of God.
May the message of the cross be our strength and our power in this Holy season. The message of the cross is a message of love that redeems and reconciles. The message of the cross is a message of the outstretched arms of God. Indeed Jesus said, “When I am lifted up, I will draw all to myself.” This is beyond human comprehension. We understand this by faith. We carry this truth in our hearts. We look at the amazing and wondrous love of God displayed to us on the cross of Christ, and we kneel at this cross overwhelmed by the purpose and plan of God.
From the very beginning, God has loved us with an everlasting love, creating us from the dust of the earth and breathing into us the breath of life. God’s love indeed has never failed. God’s love is displayed in full force as we gaze upon the cross. Let us gaze upon it. Let us pray before it. Let us kneel before God, our maker, in this Holy season and may we become more like Christ, who died upon the cross so that all might be drawn back to the heart of God.
