Bishop Ward reminds us that we all can do more to meet the NC Conference goal of $1 million for Imagine No Malaria.
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ. Very recently you received a challenge video from two clergy, Terry Williams and Dennis Peay. At a clergy gathering, they arose and challenged all the clergy to give $100 for Imagine No Malaria. Doing that math, when clergy meet the challenge, $80,000 will be raised by those who are clergy. The cabinet has immediately met the challenge, and we encourage everyone to get on board.
Laity also have received challenges. Youth across our annual conference have raised amazing amounts in their churches by challenging adults to match the gifts given by young people. A small membership church in the Gateway district where worship attendance is 25, led the way in raising over $3000 for Imagine No Malaria.
Momentum is building through these wonderful witnesses of generosity. I give thanks for the generosity in your congregation. Thank you for telling the story, for sharing the vision, for helping people know the way these gifts honor Christ, protect children, and their families in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Together we Imagine No Malaria. We all can do more, and we will as Christmas comes. As we reach the $1,000,000 goal, thank you for your generosity.
