In this video, Bishop Ward talks about Hispanic Ministries in the NC Conference and encourages us to be alert to the opportunities around us to reach all of God’s people.
Gloria a Dios. Glory to God. We give thanks in this season of Easter for the victorious Holy Spirit, alive in us. We give thanks for God’s beautiful and diverse creation and for the call of God in our lives to be in ministry with all people.
We celebrate in the North Carolina Conference, vital ministries with Hispanic people, and yearn to grow these ministries and to be fruitful in this area of our life together. We have good strong partners in this effort.
Duke Divinity School, through the Hispanic House of Studies, offers assistance in the development of leaders for Hispanic ministry and leads us forward in thinking about new and innovative ways to be in mission together. The Duke Endowment continues to work with us to fund ministries with Latino people.
The General Board of Global Ministries, through the Hispanic Plan, is a vital partner. Recently, several staff from The General Board of Global Ministries were present with us as we thought together about dreams and visions, about new ways to configure Hispanic ministry, about leadership development and about garnering the necessary resources for this good work together.
I urge you and the community in which you live, and worship, and pray, and learn, and serve, I urge you to be alert to the opportunities around you to reach out to all God’s people.
This is the season of victory; this is the season of God’s triumph. Glory to God, Gloria a Dios este día, this day we give thanks.
