The Conference Creation Care team is offering an Earthkeepers training event to teach ways for us to be more faithful caretakers of God’s earth.
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord of heaven and earth.
During the Christmas season, we sang “Joy to the world the Lord is come. Let earth receive her King. Let heaven and nature sing.” Indeed all creation sings. The scripture is full of these images. “Let the trees of the field clap their hands.” Isaiah 6.
Our Creation Care Team is planning a day of training in February. I hope that you will make this a part of your New Year commitment. The training will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church in Southport and during this day you will learn ways to be a more faithful caretaker of the place in which you reside, the land around your church, the farms and gardens in your neighborhood, your block if you live in the city.
We are called to care for creation. It is God’s gift to us. May this day be a new beginning for many of us as we step forward to join the group of over 50 trained Creation Care ministers in our Annual Conference. I hope you will register for this event today.
