As followers of Jesus, we are called to be communicators of the Good News of the love, light and grace of God through Jesus Christ.
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ.
In these joyful days of Eastertide, we bear the Good News of Christ’s life into the world. This same Jesus, who lived among us, now lives in glory forever at the right hand of God. The indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit is with us. We bear Christ’s light out into the world. Everything that we do, everything that we say, every expression upon our face bears forth what is deep in our hearts. We know that love overcomes hate. We know that justice overcomes injustice. We know that light overcomes darkness.
It’s my great joy to share with you that our North Carolina Conference Communications staff won a significant award at the recent gathering of United Methodist Communicators. Every Day Grace magazine was recognized as the most outstanding publication of it’s kind across our connection. Every Day Grace – what a wonderful name; what a wonderful reality.
As we live and move in the world, every word, every expression, everything that we do communicates what we love and what we value. We are all called to be communicators of the grace of God in Jesus Christ. We are all called to communicate our deep commitment to the way of Christ in the world. We are all called to engage in our communities toward justice and reconciliation and peace.
Let us in this season of Eastertide be strong communicators through the radiant joy that we bear into the world. Christ is alive! Christ is risen! Christ is with us!
