Bishop Ward looks forward to conversations and worship at clergy gatherings.
Grace and peace to you in the name of Jesus Christ. We give thanks today for life together.
Congregations gather regularly to worship God, and as they do, they are strengthened in shared life and ministry. Clergy who serve in leadership of local congregations and in extension ministries gather as well. In these gatherings, we renew friendship, and deepen friendship in Christ.
We’re encouraged by one another. I am always encouraged when I have an opportunity to gather with you and I look forward to the gatherings which we will share together beginning in just a couple of weeks.
I will be in each of the districts. I know you’ve received an invitation, if you are clergy, to be a part of these times together. I look forward to hearing from you as we converse together at round tables. I look forward to the worship that we will experience together, and I look forward to sharing with you the thoughts that I have about the ministry that we will engage as the days unfold in this conference year.
Thank you, laity and clergy today for the ways that you lead and the place where God has planted you for this time in your life and ministry.
