Dear Lay and Clergy Members of the Annual Conference,
We greet you in the name of Jesus Christ, and we continue to pray for one another and the whole world in this extraordinary time of COVID-19.
We are making every effort to continue and strengthen our ministry while protecting the health and well-being of all. Therefore, the Annual Conference Session will be virtual, with the opportunity to vote online or by return mail.
The Committee on Annual Conference Rules and Conference Parliamentarian have worked faithfully at the request of Bishop Ward to create rules for the unique 2020 Annual Conference Session planned for Thursday, June 18, from 10:00 am until noon.
Please read and study the Conference Rules before casting your vote online or by return mail by May 20, 2020. The consideration of the Rules in advance of the June 18 session will help us move through the worship, celebration of mission, and essential business in a timely and efficient manner.
All clergy and lay members will receive an email containing instructions on the voting process at the email address we have on file. Members without an email address on file will receive printed materials including a mail-in ballot. Voting will begin on May 8, 2020, and will run through 11:59 pm on May 20, 2020.
If you are unable to access the website for voting and would like to request a mail-in ballot, contact Shannon Medlin in the Conference Secretary’s Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or (919) 779-6115 Ext. 222.
If you need to update your lay member record(s), visit our Lay Member Change Request form.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this request for your consideration of the Conference Rules.
