According to Path 1, The United Methodist Church’s church planting agency, The North Carolina Conference has consistently led the connection in creating vital new faith communities. Our newest faith communities consistently lead our conference in professions of faith and growth in worship attendance. As the office of New Faith Communities continues to live into that tradition of excellence, Rev. Jeff Severt, the director, presented this year’s report of the stories of the emerging new faith communities.
In the next year, the North Carolina Conference will launch three new faith communities in partnership with existing churches to multiply the effectiveness and support of these emerging bodies of Christ:
A new campus of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Fayetteville
Southeast Table, a campus of Edenton Street United Methodist Church
A new campus of University United Methodist Church in northern Chapel Hill
