Under the umbrella of Generation Transformation are three entities: Global Mission Fellows, a two-year mission service term for ages 20-30; Global Justice volunteers, a two-month service term for ages 18-30; and Individual Volunteers, a flexible mission service term for ages 18 and up.
Marcharkelti McKenzie shared her experience as a Global Mission Fellow in Mobile, AL. She is regularly dispelling the misconception of the frequently asked question, “Mobile needs missionaries?,” by happily answering: YES! Wherever there is need, there is opportunity to serve.
When asked the most rewarding aspect of this field, McKenzie answered that it was the opportunity to not only be a voice for the underrepresented African American community, but also an example of someone from her age group serving Christ through missions. If you are interested in ways to support Generation Transformation, McKenzie’s first suggestion is to send prayers and then get informed about the program through online sources and share that information with your congregation so that this organization can continue to transform lives across the globe.
