The United Methodist Church has been woven into Lou’s life from the very beginning. As the daughter of a United Methodist pastor, she grew up within the North Carolina Conference and was nurtured by many of our faithful congregations along the way.
Lou worked for Cokesbury bookstores for 24 years, serving first as Manager of the Raleigh Cokesbury store and later as an Outside Sales Representative and Regional Sales Manager.
In 2012, she entered a new season of service with the North Carolina Conference during the move to a centralized District Office and is grateful for the opportunity to work with such a dedicated District Office staff. In July 2023, she was honored to also take on the role of Executive Assistant to Bishop Connie Shelton.
Lou and her husband, Jeff, are the proud parents of two adult daughters and are members of Knightdale UMC, the very church her father was serving when she was born! In her free time, Lou enjoys time at the beach, reading, and scrapbooking.
