The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), a part of the GBGM, is mobilizing resources and working with its partners to begin direct relief operations in Haiti. UMCOR has a four star rating from Charity Navigator and is one of the only organizations working in Haiti to have an A Plus rating from the American Institute of Philanthropy. In the North Carolina Conference contributions can be made at any United Methodist Church. Write “Haiti” in the memo line or write Advance # 418325. On-line donations can be made at new.gbgm-umc.org/umcor or by calling the Advance office (212-870-3790).

Are there any plans for the Marion district to do anything for Haiti? Also, are there plans for mission teams to go? Any information would help. Thank you.
