The NCC Board of Ordained Ministry will present its new process; path to ordination; at several locations across the conference on August 13, 2009. Ned Hill, Chairperson of NC BOM, and Tim Russell, Ministerial Relations Director, will lead the presentations. Presentations will be held at the following locations on Thursday, August 13th: Harbor UMC in Wilmington: 9:30-11:00 a.m., Farmville UMC, Greenville District: 2:00-3:30 p.m., and Benson Memorial UMC in Raleigh: 7:00-8:30 p.m.
The presentations are not mandatory, are open to anyone and will be of particular interest to candidates for ordained ministry; including current provisional members, district committees on ordained ministry and those mentoring candidates for ministry.
The board believes the new format will be more supportive of individual candidates while also allowing the board to get to know each candidate in a deeper, more personal way. Should you have any questions, please contact Tim Russell in the Office of Ministerial Relations.
