School Kits
Student and teacher kits should be packaged individually in book bags if possible. Plastic storage/sweater boxes (approx. 10″ X 14″) or plastic storage bags can be used if book bags are not available. (Please, do not include religious material.)
Description of a Student Kit
- 8 1/2 X 11 Paper (min. 50-sheet pkg.)
- 6 #2 yellow pencils
- Pencil sharpener (small, handheld)
- 2 Ballpoint pens
- 8 Colored pencils
- 8 Crayons
- Watercolor paints
- Clipboard (no stickers)
- Safety scissors
- Ruler (metric)
- 1 Bar Soap/1 Washcloth/2 Pair of Tube Socks
Description of a Teacher Kit
- 8 1/2 X 11 White Paper (min. 50-sheet pkg.)
- 1 Package of Construction paper
- 1 Box of Chalk
- 1 Roll of Scotch Tape
- Tape measure
- 4 Glue sticks
- World Map
- Inflatable Globe
- 1 Pair of Scissors
- 1 Ruler (metric)
- 1 Box of Ballpoint pens
- 1 Box of Markers
- Clipboard
UMCOR Health Kit
- 1 hand towel
- 1 bath-size bar of soap in original wrapper
- 1 washcloth
- 1 toothbrush in original sealed package
- 1 hair comb, regular size (not pocket-size)
- 1 large tube of toothpaste (no sample or travel sizes)
- 1 nail file or nail clipper
- 6 adhesive bandages (such as Band-Aid)
Wrap the brand new items in the new hand towel, tie it with string or yarn, and place inside a sealed, one-gallon plastic bag with a zipper closure.
