Monitoring and Accountability

Leadership » Multicultural Ministries » Monitoring and Accountability

How good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters come together in the spirit of unity. -Psalm 133: 1

The purpose of the Monitoring and Accountability Team is to seek a full and equal participation of the racial and ethnic constituency in the total life of the Conference through teaching, advocacy and by reviewing and monitoring the practices of the Conference to ensure racial Inclusiveness. We also seek to help the conference, districts and the local churches to develop affirmative action and racial inclusiveness programs and policies and are determined, with the grace of God, to achieve these goals.

As part of the vision of the Monitoring and Accountability Team we seek to challenge, invite and call the Annual Conference in all of its leadership, ministry and practices, to a full vision and recognition of human dignity, including race, gender, age and status.

The Monitoring Team would like to teach and engage our constituency toward a biblical and theological understanding of the dignity of all persons. The Monitoring Team since 2008 has actively monitored District events, The Conference Connectional Table and other conference-related ministries. We will continue to advocate for inclusiveness-building a community of Love and Justice for all.
